Small changes you can make...

ADD SOME ACTIVATORS

Once you are familiar with the Bagua map, you can start to add feng shui activators to bring energy to areas you want to focus on. One of the best ways to do this is by adding plants and flowers.

Firstly, they are excellent energizers as they are alive and thriving (disgard dying plants as this manifests struggle). Furthermore, plants are known to be air purifiers so are essential in any room!

Other great activators are wind chimes and inspirational artwork. Decide how you feel when these items are around you and delete anything that doesn’t make you feel alive.

DECLUTTER AND CLEAN

The key to good feng shui! Energy gets stuck on clutter, dust and dirt as it can’t flow freely if there are obstacles in the way.

Start small by tackling one area at a time and take away anything that doesn’t make you feel alive and happy. Holding onto the past will keep you stuck and hold you back from living out your goals. As you pick up an item, ask yourself “Do I love this?”, “Would I buy it again?”, “Is it part of my future?”

Afterwards, have a good clean paying particular attention to corners and edges where hidden energy gets stuck.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FRONT DOOR

Your front door is where energy first enters your home and is therefore the most important focus when you are starting a feng shui journey – coupled with the fact that first impressions last.

Is the entrance clean, neat, tidy and inviting? Is it well lit and easy to find – is the door number clear for instance? If the postman can’t find you how do you expect opportunities to!

Make sure the door can open fully and does not creak – basically, don’t give positive energy any excuse to not find you or enter easily.
